. . . I don't claim that I know everything about life. But one thing I am certain that apart from the love and mercies of Christ—I AM NOTHING. " But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."(Galatians 6:14). All to JESUS I surrender. . .all to Thee my Blessed Savior. . .I surrender all. Thank YOU my Precious LORD JESUS for all Your blessings in my life. I love YOU, and thank YOU for loving me first. Forever Yours--Erlinda Mejia Olson

A Tribute To Aunt Marion

By: Erlinda Mejia-Olson

PSALM 116:15 ~ "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."

Life is precious … so fragile.

Just a moment ago, my sister in law, Naomi, broke the news that Aunt Marion had passed away.  It felt as though our hearts were hit by an arrow.  Hearts are silenced. We just lost a dear person in our lives.

In Loving Memory of my Aunt Marion
(Composed by Erlinda Mejia-Olson for Marion Okeson)

You walked into my life on that one special day.
Standing in as the mother for my beloved in our wedding day.
Sweats on your brow you willingly endured—
You traveled from afar knowing it would matter.
Thinking of Mom June’s words she couldn’t utter.

Genuine friendship is not measured by length of time.
And so our brief encounter that was so sublime.
Your caring personality that was so spirited and bold.
Has convinced this little heart of mine—
That you truly had a heart of gold.

You thought of me and my family from a distance.
Upholding to maintain such friendship with your persistence.
Though we didn’t get to spend as much time as we wanted to.
But the memories you have printed in my heart—would do.

Oh, my dear Aunt Marion, now that you’re gone.
Went home to be with our Savior, in Heaven thereon.
A beautiful place of splendor where death is no more.
In Heavenly bliss united with Mom June forevermore.

Though we may not be together in this life.
A life that is full of  ripples and strife.
But I know someday we will meet again.
In the blessed hope of Christ—
The eternal life I’ve been given.
