. . . I don't claim that I know everything about life. But one thing I am certain that apart from the love and mercies of Christ—I AM NOTHING. " But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."(Galatians 6:14). All to JESUS I surrender. . .all to Thee my Blessed Savior. . .I surrender all. Thank YOU my Precious LORD JESUS for all Your blessings in my life. I love YOU, and thank YOU for loving me first. Forever Yours--Erlinda Mejia Olson

Celebrate Life!

By: Erlinda Mejia-Olson

PSALM 118:24 ~ "This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it."

This day is irreplaceable—once it is gone, it is gone for good! As a believer, it is a wise thing to do, to utilize this day in the service of God and in the service of His people. When I do so, it helps me to deepen my own life and the life of those whom God has brought into my path.

God has richly blessed us in different areas of our lives, and He wants us to rejoice in His gifts. That is why this day—and each day that He blesses us, should be a time of prayer and celebration as we ponder the Good News of His free gift—salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

Oswald Chamber precisely declared, "Joy is the great note all throughout the Bible." ... Eli Stanley Jones reverberated that thought when he penned, "Christ and joy go together." But, there are instances, even the most zealous Christians forget to celebrate each day for what it is—a priceless gift from God.

What do we expect from the coming days? Are we expecting God to do amazing things, or are we living beneath a cloud of apprehension and doubt? The familiar words of Psalm 118:24 strike a chord of a profound yet simple truth, "This is the day the LORD has made". As believers, we ought to rejoice in God's marvelous creation.

Today, let us celebrate the life that God has blessed us. Today, let us put a smile on our face, kind words on our lips, and a song in our heart. Let us be generous with our praise and free with our encouragement. And then, when we have celebrated life to the fullest, let us not forget to encourage others to do likewise.

Friend, are you saved in the salvation of Christ Jesus' finished work on the Cross?  Are you celebrating life now and eternity?  After all, this is God's day, and so is the hour of salvation.  Do not procrastinate!  God has given us clear instructions for its use. We are commanded to rejoice and be glad in it. So, with no further ado, let the celebration begin!

Proverbs 16:20
"He who heeds the word wisely will find good,
And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he."
