PSALM 59:16 ~ "But I will sing of YOUR power; Yes, I will sing aloud of YOUR mercy in the morning; For YOU have been my defense and refuge in times of trouble."
We were awaken this morning by the beauty of the glaring rays of the sun. Though we could hardly stand up due to the surmountable enervation we felt from miles and miles of long stretch heavy down pouring of snow mixed with rain, and the an unpredictable black icy roads to combat—driving in the heart of the snow storm. Yet, the LORD knows how to motivate us—the only way is to trust in Him—in Daniel 2:21-22 we are consoled:
"And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him."We got up and looked through the window as tears coming down from our eyes—we instantly felt a great sense of awe! The heavy snow storm that stirred many of our lives for the past several days is finally behind us.
We stood at the window for a moment—so taken aback. Then we pondered, in utterance:
"LORD, Your power is beyond description!" Once again, You showed us the depths of our faith. You spoke and calmed the snow storm, and brought sunshine to our tired, weary face. Who can hide from You, LORD? Be in storm or stillness, in sunshine or rain, the beauty of Your face keeps shining through in all seasons of our lives." Why do You love to show Yourself to a nobody like us? We cannot keep You, LORD, we want the whole world to know that YOU are real, that we adore and worship a Holy and Living GOD, who is in control of all schemes of life—living or dying ...
"For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s." (Romans 14:8)
Our hearts have been gladdened! And so, we have been comforted!
No storms of life—great or small—that GOD cannot calm. Nothing is too difficult in the grace of GOD. He reminded us: ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’(Jeremiah 33:3)
As the Psalmist prayed: "I will love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." (Psalm 18:1-2).
To Christ Jesus our Lord and Personal Savior—we say, THANK YOU, for being the GOD of ALL SEASONS!
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah" (Psalm 46:1-3)
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ." (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)
