"... Darkness was on the face of the deep ..." (Genesis 1:2b). God didn't want His inhabitants to wander around in darkness, so God created light (Genesis 1:3). Can you begin to imagine if we lived life in the dark! God gives light so we can see all He has made and give Him glory. We can see how amazing God is through all the various things He has created.
God loves variety! He didn’t just want one of everything. He made plants and trees that were seed bearing. He made not just one bird, but all kinds of birds, and the same with the rest of the animals. He made humans: male and female, and commanded them to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:20-30).
God has opened our eyes to see His glory: "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork." (Psalm 19:1). He did all that, and then enables us to see His hand in making it all so that we can praise Him as the wonderful Creator. But not just that, He gives light so we can see His glory in salvation as well as in creation through His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:3-5). What an Amazing God ... a Picture Perfect!

GENESIS 1:31a ~ "Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good."
A picture speaks a thousand words!
Seeing through the glorious beauty of God’s handiworks made us think of the character of God in the History of Creation in Genesis Chapters 1 through 3 … the words of the song as penned by Carl G. Boberg and R.J. Hughes, giving praises and honor to God for His splendid work of art has led us to cry out, 'How Great Thou Art!'
... O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed ...
He made the sun rise in the East and set in the West ... He adorns the Heavens with dazzling stars and a moon to light the night ... He speaks in the beauty of His gleaming white snow as it lightens up the winter days—as it covers the evergreen trees, hills, and mountains ... His fresh winter water that runs through the rivers, valleys, brooks, creeks becomes the dwelling place of His wild ducks, birds, flowers, rocks and trees ... To touch the heart of God through His creation, the very core of our being has ran out of words to describe the beauty of God’s perfection—as He takes us to these places we have never seen before … places of splendor and majesty!
The embodiment of God's perfect character is revealed in His creation. God was very careful in creating—everything was well-thought out. There was an order—He didn’t fill before forming ..."The earth was without form, and void ..." (Genesis 1:2) There was a rhythm to life, day and night, six days work, and one day rest (Genesis 1:31, and Genesis 2:2). God made a perfect world for the needs of His inhabitants.

... Then sings my soul my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou Art ... How great Thou Art ...
Colossians 1:16 ~ "For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him."
