Proverbs 31:10 ~ "Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies."
It's Mother's Day weekend! And, I won't let this weekend slip away without giving the honor to my mother and yours—for all the good things they have done. I hope the sentiments of this occasion brings warmth to your heart as it is in mine!

God's most beautiful picture of a Christian mother is in the Book of Proverbs Chapter 31 verses 10 through 31. God presented to humanity these amazing qualities that embodies the heart and mind of what a true mother should be.
By God's grace, if you happened to have a mother who is like this portrait—without delay, be sure to give her thanks while you still can. If you are a mother, ask the Lord to grant you the wisdom and strength to be like this woman.
As a daughter, a wife, and if the Lord so desires (that I will become a mother someday)—I'd like to impart to the rest of the women of the world the qualities I have learned from knowing and living out the treasures of wisdom of God's beautiful woman:
Wisdom:
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. (v. 26)
Industry:
She also rises while it is yet night, and provides food for her household, and a portion for her maidservants. (v. 15) … She girds herself with strength, and strengthens her arms. (v. 17) … She makes tapestry for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple. (v. 22) … She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies sashes for the merchants. (v. 24)
Generosity:
Generosity:
She extends her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy. (v. 20)
Faithfulness:
Faithfulness:
The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. (v. 11) … She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. (v. 12)
Character:
Character:
She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household is clothed with scarlet. (v. 21) … Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come. (v. 25)
Faith:
Faith:
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. (v. 30)
Why should a mother who trusts in the Lord be praised rather than the one who possesses charm and beauty? As the old saying goes, "beauty fades but the character remains".
For God's beautiful woman—true happiness for herself and for her whole household can only be found when they are in a right relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ—whose heart and mind are both insync in God's will and obedience to His Word.
A mother who embodies these virtuous characteristics is worthy of praise and should be honored. "Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: (v. 28) … "Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all." (v. 29) … Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates. (v. 31)
What an astounding portrait, isn’t it? God’s beautiful woman is beyond compare ... a rare gem, indeed! (v. 10)
Is it your portrait? Do you embody the qualities of God's beautiful woman? Do you hold the beauty—heart and mind—that comes through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ? The good news is, God can give you these qualities with the help of the Holy Spirit through the power of faith that is in Christ. May you excel in this challenging yet noble call of being a mother!
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2) ... "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Roman 15:13) ... "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)
Have a Blessed Mother's Day!
Song:
INFINITE LOVE
By: Clara M. Brooks, 1911
Our Father hath so loved us,
He gave His only Son
To die for guilty sinners,
To ransom everyone;
Such love is more than human,
Compassionate, divine;
Because He died, I’m living,
And heaven’s joy is mine.
Refrain:
Oh, love, oh love
That came from heav’n above!
His Son He gave my soul to save,
I know that God is love.
He loved the lost one straying
Upon the mountains cold;
Love sought me from the darkness,
And brought me to His fold;
While feasting in His presence
His graces rich I prove;
He keeps His banner o’er me
’Tis love, unfailing love.
A mother’s love is tender,
It floweth warm and free:
Though she forget her offspring,
Yet I’ll remember thee;
His love, a brilliant beacon
The ages cannot dim:
Behold, with loving kindness
He draweth us to Him!
Oh, precious love of Jesus!
It melts the heart of stone,
And molds it in His image,
And binds it to His own;
His love in us perfected,
Will doubt and fear remove;
Put on, O holy brethren,
This bond of perfect love.
Our Father hath so loved us,
He gave His only Son

To ransom everyone;
Such love is more than human,
